Harvey Pekar was found dead at one a.m. this morning.  We miss him already.

Issues of American Splendor, as well as the film adaptation, are proof that while the concept of ‘the everyman’ may be well worn, there is a world of poetics in everyday life and interaction.  If you keep your eyes open, a blueprint to a simple harmony unfolds.

“Ordinary life is pretty complex stuff.”

I’m bummed.  Harvey’s work is a treasure.
